Canadians have a proud history of solidarity with the anti-Apartheid movement in South Africa and its leader Nelson Mandela.  As early as 1960, Canada expressed its opposition to Apartheid. Our civil society advocated for action and our government enacted economic sanctions which helped end the racist regime.

Time to stand for Nortel workers

New information shows $100 million missing in the Nortel Health and Welfare Trust

OTTAWA – New Democrat MP Paul Dewar (Ottawa Centre) is calling on the government to stand on the side of former Nortel workers, not the company executives who took $100 million out of the Health and Welfare Trust.
